The UCL Institute of Advanced Studies is launching a new research centre, the Centre for Capitalism Studies. The launch event features renowned artist Hito Steyerl, the pre-eminent economist Professor Ha-Joon Chang and commentary from journalist and economic commentator Grace Blakeley.

The UCL Centre for Capitalism Studies is a world-leading centre for critical interdisciplinary research into the past, present, and future of capitalism. The CCS brings together UCL faculty and students from across departments, studying how markets, finance and economic institutions shape our everyday life, structure societies’ capacity to change, and are contested and remade across time and space.
