Finance and Society, vol. 8 no. 2 (2022).


 

The editors of Finance and Society are pleased to announce the publication of volume 8, number 2. The issue includes a major new editorial statement on the future of finance and society studies, based on a joint meeting of the editorial team and advisory board held in January 2022. Research articles address the machinic dimension of money (Inigo Wilkins and Bogdan Dragos), the disruptive impact of fintech (Gordon Tan), Tokyo’s history as a financial centre (Liam Keenan and Darius Wójcik), the emotional governance of remittances (Lekh Paudel and Rahel Kunz), and contemporary forms of financial subordination (Michael Pryke and John Allen). The issue is fully open-access and freely available to all.
